Chaweng Bike Ride (Via Big Buddha) Koh Samui

The bike ride starts anytime in the day you want.
On the way you will riding through local areas such as Fisherman's Village and travel towards the Bangkrak Fishing Markets. The coastal road here a magnificent views & beaches for photos or a swim. The traffic can be light to moderate on the road. You can stop as you like & sample the local delicacies. The Bangrak Market is a daily market used by the locals and will give you an authentic experience of everyday Thai living! There are also great snacks and drinks available to enjoy.
You will stop at Big Buddha temple which overlooks the beautiful bay to take some photos. The shrine itself is home to a giant gold painted statue of Buddha in a state of calm and purity. It was built in 1972 and it's around 40 feet (12m) tall. It's a great place to stop for lunch & fresh coconut drink as there are many options available.
After lunch, you will move on to one of the best places to visit Wat Plai Leam, it is only 5 minutes from the Big Buddha. It is also a large temple complex built over the water. Arguable the best temple on the island. There are many fish & turtles to see. You can even feed them for small pocket change. This is a great place for everlasting holiday photos !
Choeng Mon is the next stop & another exclusive area to stop off. Lots of restaurants & azure blue water here. Perfect for a cool drink before heading onto Chaweng Beach. Chaweng is the most popular location on Samui & is a bustling hive of activity. Lots of things to do here. The ride back can be along the lakes edge & through the back roads known as the "ghost road" to Bangrak, rejoining the coast road & back to the shop.
