HIKE TO Little Jiuzhaigou in Taihu Lake of Suzhou

The huge pit, we will firstly vist, was formed from many years of quarrying last century. In 2000 the local government decided to close it and now nature is slowly making its mark, helping to transform its rugged beauty and allowing us to explore. The Taihu ore field, due to the high content of minerals, the water here becomes abnormally blue.

Follow us to open a path through the reeds till we arrive at the top and take in the amazing views.

Hike around the island and enjoy the beautiful panoramic views of the lake.

In the afternoon, hike through the tea plantations and then discover how the villagers still depend on fishing. 

Island life is very simple and tranquil from sunrise till sunset.

As we reach the end of our hike we will arrive at Arhat Temple which is located at the bottom of the valley. It is one of the few remaining temples left on Xishan Island.
