Private Suzhou Full-Day Tour: Lingering Garden, Hanshan, and Pingjiang

In the morning, your private guide and driver will meet you at your hotel lobby. Then, you will firstly visit the Lingering Garden which is a renowned classical garden located to the northwest of Suzhou. In 1997, the garden, along with other classical gardens in Suzhou, was listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. It is known for the exquisite beauty of its magnificent halls, and the various sizes, shapes, and colors of the buildings. Like other famous gardens in Suzhou, the Lingering Garden seeks to create stunning natural landscapes within limited space.

Next, you will be transferred to visit the Hanshan Temple which was built in Liangtianjian period of Tang Dynasty in 502 AD. The temple was named after a monk whose name is Hanshan and lived in this temple. Hanshan Temple is famed in East Asia because of the poem "A Night Mooring by Maple Bridge" written by Tang Dynasty poet, Zhang Ji, who describes the melancholy scene of himself as a dejected traveler moored at night by Fengqiao hearing the bell of Hanshan Temple strikes. Later, you will visit Pingjiang Historic Street, a historical street located in the northeastern side of old Suzhou city. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your Suzhou hotel.
