5 Day Etosha National Park Private Guided Safari Tour

Itinerary

Day 1: Windhoek to Etosha National Park

Pass By: Etosha National Park, Etosha National Park, Oshikoto Region
Your tour guide will pick you up at your accommodation 08h30 and we will head north towards Etosha National Park, “the great white place of dry water”, which offers a variety of wildlife. Our 3 nights in Etosha will be either at Okaukuejo, Halali or Namutoni (subject to availability). All 3 campsites have a floodlit waterhole which allows for 24-hour game viewing. Elephant and rhinoceros are seen daily during the dry winter months and numerous other game species are also found.

n/a – clients own expense (Lunch can be enjoyed at a coffee shop in the town of Otjiwarongwe/Outjo and dinner at the restaurant in the National Park.)

Day 2: Halali in Etosha National Park

ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK TO WATERBERG PLATEAU PARK

We undertake an early morning game drive before departing to the Waterberg Plateau Park, stopping in the town of Otjiwarongwe for a quick shop. The Waterberg Plateau Park has been set aside for the breeding of rare animal species sucj as the white and black rhino, sable and roan antelope and also the endangered Cape vulture Tehre are numerous interesting walks in the area surrounding the camp and up to the Plateau.

Day 3: Eldorado Guestfarm

Stop At: Etosha National Park, Etosha National Park, Oshikoto Region
Farm Eldorado is in the Pienaar family for 3 generations. Each generation bought the farm from the previous one. Eldorado is a cattle and game farm.

In 2009 Adri & Hanel Pienaar, together with their 3 children moved into the original old farm house. Restoring it is an ongoing process, as with all old buildings. Around the old house were only a few patches of lawn. The garden was started from scratch, to the beautiful, welcoming piece of green it is today.

Some practical advice for anyone visiting Etosha National Park.

Keep in mind Etosha National Park does not have an ATM or a place where you can buy a variety of fresh produce. The southern border of Etosha National Park forms the notorious 'RED LINE'. This is a veterinary controlled border for foot and mouth decease, therefore you will be able to take meat into Etosha, but all meat will be confiscated on exiting Etosha. Etosha's roads are in very bad shape, so drive carefully when visiting. For tyre repairs and car parts, the nearest place south of Etosha is Multiplex Tyres and Spares, tel: 067 313319.
