Itinerary

Day 1: Route: Swakopmund - Walvis Bay - Namib Desert

Stop At: Namib Desert, Namibia
Departing from Swakopmund, we'll first pass Namibia's harbour town Walvis Bay. More passengers may embark onto the tour. We continue through the Namib Naukluft Park, which is the largest conservation area in Namibia. We pass the Vogelfederberg and drive through the Kuiseb Pass as well as the Gaub Pass, before we stop at Solitaire. We shall arrive at the beautifully set Namib Naukluft Lodge during the late afternoon.

Pass By: Kuiseb River, Near Road C14, Namib-Naukluft Park Namibia
You will pass through the scenic Kuiseb Pass en route.

Day 2: Sossusvlei Excursion including Dune 45, Sossusvlei, Dead Vlei and Sesriem Canyon

Stop At: Sossusvlei, Namib-Naukluft Park Namibia
An early morning rise with a snack before leaving enables you to arrive at Sesriem, the Park's gate at around sunrise. The route leads along and also across the Tsauchab dry riverbed which has found a way through the dunes until it reaches the (usually) dry clay pan - the Sossusvlei. The early morning sun offers spectacular pastel colours in the star-shaped dunes. This is the highlight for the keen photographer. Your fist stop will be Dune 45 and various look-out points. Climb one of the dunes and you might be overwhelmed by the sight of the dynamic and living desert! A picnic breakfast will be served in a scenic spot. We continue to the abse of the Dead Vlei. It is quite a walk over patches of dunes that are crossing your way. We visit the Sesriem Canyon, a 30 metre deep rift, before we return to the Namib Naukluft Lodge.

During the late afternoon hours you will be joining the sunset drive to the natural marble mountains - located on this private nature reserve.

Stop At: Deadvlei, Sossusvlei, Namib-Naukluft Park Namibia
During your Sossusvlei Excursion you have the opportunity to walk to the Dead Vlei. One of the most photographed spot in the Namib Desert!

Stop At: Sesriem Canyon, 4.5km from the entrance gate of the Namib-Naukluft National Park, Sossusvlei, Namib-Naukluft Park Namibia
Just before leaving the Park you will visit the Sesriem Canyon. You have time to walk through the canyon or just view it from the top of the rift.

Day 3: Route: Namib Naukluft Lodge - Windhoek

Stop At: Namib Desert, Namibia
08:30 after breakfast we depart from Namib Naukluft Lodge back to Windhoek. The route will take us either via the scenic Spreetshoogte or Remhoogte Pass. The arrival time in Windhoek is estimated at 12:30.
