Blue Mountains Like A Sydney Local
Experience spectacular scenery, wildlife, plant life and fresh mountain air. You will spend a full day exploring the Blue Mountains region in a sustainable and environmental friendly tour.
Explore one of Australia’s top landmarks as a local as our day will start by hopping on a train. Train travel is a relaxing way to travel to the Blue Mountains (locals have been doing it the last 100 years) and your local guide will point out the sightseeing options along the way.
We'll hop off at Katoomba, the chief town of the City of Blue Mountains. Katoomba, which is perched on the edge of a 170-metre cliff, is the home of Echo Point and the famous Three Sisters and has been a popular bushwalking area for nearly 170 years.
We will walk around the town, enjoy a coffee at a heritage listed venue, admire the Jamison Valley from Echo Point, take photos of the best known natural formations in the mountains - The Three Sisters, descend into the Jamison Valley (there are approximately 996 stairs and it is steep) and take in great views of Mt Solitary and the magnificent Katoomba Falls.
At the bottom, we follow the Scenic Walkway, a boardwalk that will take us through ancient rainforest dating back to the time of the dinosaurs. Next, we will make our way along the track, looking out for the old coal mine still and the old coal trucks, to the Scenic Railway bottom platform for a ride back up on the train.
Conclude your day with a trip to Sydney Harbour, unwinding on an afternoon cruise along the Parramatta River back to Circular Quay city centre.
