About this activity
Depart from Sydney CBD on your day trip to the stunning Blue Mountains. Your first stop will be Sydney Olympic Park, home to the 2000 Olympic games. Your driver guide will provide you with expert commentary along the way.

Your next stop will be Featherdale Wildlife Park where you can observe more than 2,200 native Australian animals. Here you will be able to observe koalas, kangaroos, emus, wombats, Tasmanian devils, dingos and many more.

Enjoy a delicious lunch in a local Blue Mountains restaurant (own expense) surrounded by stunning scenery out into the valley.

Travel via Wentworth Falls and through Leura and Katoomba townships before crossing Leura Cascades along the cliff drive for Kings Tableland views.

Stop at Cahill's lookout where you can see the iconic 'Boars Head Rock' followed by Megalong and Jamison Valleys.

Your tour leaves the best until last as you stop at Echo Point for your first look at the famous 'Three Sisters'. Here you will hear about the historical nature of this site and the dreamtime stories surrounding this iconic rock formation.

Your next stop will be Scenic World where you can jump on the scenic railway and skyrail (own expense). You will have spare time to explore the stunning rainforests along the many boardwalks, walking past the coal mines before returning back to your coach.

Next up is a little bit of Indigneous culture. You will learn about the Boomerang and the Digeridoo, the famous Mountain Devil, a red flower which according to the dreamtime, turns into the devil.

On your way back to Sydney, stop in the stunning village of Leura with it's manicured gardens and famous candy store before hoping aboard your cruise and traveling down the Parramatta River back into Sydney Harbour.

Along the way, keep an eye out for the stunning scenery as you pass through the incredible national park before ending your tour in Circular Quay.

John was our tour guide for this day and it was amazing. Our favorite park was the Featherdale Wildlife Park. We were hoping to see one wombat and ended up seeing what was between 8-10!! All the animals looked healthy and happy. John managed the schedule well and had great stories and suggestions for everyone. We even met some friends from Hawaii that we ended up seeing on our Hobbiton tour in New Zealand later on so making new friends on the trip was an added plus for sure! John is truly the best in the business! The Blue Mountains were very busy that day but he still made everything work out which was a relief and he was nice to me and did not tease me for being terrified of heights and screaming in the cable car even though I probably deserved to be teased. I would take this trip a second time just for the fun of it!!

Although there was some initial confusion for the pickup time by automated response after the booking, our guide/driver emailed the correct time and we had a smooth start. John by far was the best tour guide we have come across, which made the drive and all activities much more enjoyable. Highly recommend it and you will be lucky to get John as your guide.

This was a well planned tour around the main sights of the Blue Mountains, getting to Echo Point early to miss the crowds and enjoy the Three Sisters in relative peace was a nice touch. Thanks Dave for ensuring we all got the most out of the day. I would recommend paying the extra for the Scenic world ticket as it's a main way of seeing the mountains, and worth the entry fee in my opinion, athough more for the rides than the boardwalk. It should probably just be included in the tour price. The Featherdale wildlife park was okay, a good variety of birds and animals, and the short drive through the Olympic Park interesting. Didn't get 5 stars from me because the tour company's communication regarding pick up details were last minute and I wasn't able to contact them with my queries, went straight to message bank with no response to my voicemail.

We had Dave on our tour; he had a great dry Aussie sense of humour and was incredibly knowledgeable about Australia; the geography, the flora and fauna and animals... the tour was packed but did not feel too rushed, the Blue Mountains were fantastic, Featherdale was amazing, seeing all the indigenous animals and having my picture taken with a koala! There was time for lunch and also a visit to the Olympic stadium. I would highly recommend this tour, I was travelling solo as I was in Australia on business and felt v comfortable amongst the couples, families and other solo travellers on the tour!

The whole tour was really informative and interesting! David was an excellent tour guide! I enjoyed seeing the Blue Mountains and of course being able to feed kangaroos and pet a koala!

My partner and I did the blue mountains tour and found it to be worth the money. The driver, tour operator was very informative and friendly, cracking jokes and asking us for our input. The day was full of beautiful views and information we did not know about our own country. I would recommend this tour to everyone. Thanks Dave for a great day. Maureen and Dino

A fast pace to maximize all the sights in one day. Just what I was looking for! Our tour guide David was amazing. Not only knowledgeable but helpful and outgoing. Here is an example. Many tour companies provide similar scheduled days. At the end of the day they drop you off at a ferry terminal for you to return to Circular Quay. David was the only tour guide that not only stayed to make sure everything was correct but was helping people from other tour companies who had been just dropped off!

We really enjoyed this tour. The blue mountains were stunning and we enjoyed being with a small group of 20. The only bummer is that they take you to Featherdale in the late afternoon and all the animals are asleep. We were so looking forward to feeding the roos and they wanted nothing to do with us

Must go and see the blue mountains and the gorge! Take the tram across and the venicular. The zoo is a must. It was terribly hot at the zoo. We had a wonderful guide too. Very informative and shared all kinds of information about the area with us.

John was a great guide! Passionate and knowledgeable. My friend and I really enjoyed the tour and the commentary. The wildlife park was really fun we got to feed some wonderful animals, Leura is a nice little town I had a kangaroo meat pie and bought some sweets from the famous sweet shop, and the express ferry back to Sydney was a nice touch. This is a great deal. We encountered just one problem: the pick-up location at Sydney Central YHA was quite confusing -- there was a sign that pointed to where we should wait for the coach but that sign pointed straight ahead into some light rail construction. Telephoned the tour company after we saw no one past the pick-up time, and was told to wait in the hostel itself. Waited a bit more, telephoned again, and was told to wait outside. So my friend and I stood around feeling very confused until we saw someone rushing up to us 20 mins after the pick-up time phew!. My friend and I didn't stay at the YHA and were told to go there as it was the closest pick-up spot to our place in Waterloo I made a telephone call soon after the booking to confirm the pick-up spot and was told that there'd be lots of buses along the street, which wasn't the case as it was closed due to construction... perhaps another pick-up spot could be chosen until light rail construction ends? Or maybe the office could let us know that the driver's slightly delayed as we were wondering if the coach had left without us... Overall, though, this was a fantastic way to spend the day. Highly recommended!

I did not expect that we will have this wonderful experience. I loved the Blue Mountains... the koalas at Featherdale Park are cuddly!

Excellent tour, driver very good and knowlegable. The only negative was there was not enough time to visit the wildlife park. More than 1 hour is needed to see everything.

The tour was great, and the guide was very informative and looked out for us, especially getting on the Skyway at Scenic World. Didn't see any of the Olympic Park except for the ferry stop. Would recommend buying the complete tour, lunch and Scenic World to save the hassle of purchasing after.

This was a wonderful experience that provided a nice insight on the Blue Mountains and all it had to offer for a day trip at a great price. I would say that the experience itself was very enjoyable and would do it again if I had longer to spend in the Blue Mountains.
