About this activity
With a warm and mild climate year-round, the open-air double-decker coach tour is a perfect way to sightsee in Sydney and Bondi. Hop aboard the open-top, double-decker bus at any of the 34 stops around the city. Enjoy pre-recorded commentary in your choice of eight languages as you sit back and relax on the full ride, which takes about 90 minutes, or hop off to sightsee and explore at your own pace.

Discover Sydney's highlights including the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, the historic Rocks district and Sydney’s CBD (Central Business District). Hop off the bus to browse the stores in modern shopping areas or grab a bite to eat at the bustling Sydney Fish Market. Stretch your legs as you stroll around the Royal Botanic Gardens or the tree-shaded paths of Hyde Park. The choice of activities is yours!

Bondi Beach is a suburb with a popular beach located just 4 miles (7km) east of Sydney’s city center. Enjoy the sea and sand at the beach, or check out the cafes, restaurants and shops around town, many with fantastic ocean views.

The Sydney and Bondi hop on hop off tours connect at Cook and Phillip Park,100 William Street or Central Station stop. The bus departs every 15–20 minutes from each stop on the city route, or every 30 minutes on the Bondi route, and tickets are valid for 24 or 48 hours from first use. Please check the current schedule for operating hours; the bus does not operate 24 hours per day. Families can save with the Family Pass, valid for 2 adults and 2 children.

Worth it to purchase the ticket before hand. Our hotel was close to a major stop so we had the entire day to explore. Ticket was good for 24 hours and worth the price. This was the first thing we did upon arrival

When going to a new city/country, I always look to see if there is a Hop on Hop off option. it doesn’t matter if I am cruising or doing a resort stay, this is my first option or research. This tour did not disappoint. The tour took you by all the famous sights and others less famous. However, all the sights on both routes were excellent and gave you insight into other places you might want to explore. I LOVE Sydney and look forward to returning again.

Bus was convenient although a bit packed. We used it only twice to get to two destinations. If you don't really plan on stopping at many locations for a bit of time, this is likely perfect. However, if you plan on spending several hours at a location, it is a bit of a waste as the bus only runs from 8:30am - 7:30pm. If you plan on spending 3-5 hours in one area, it will get you to your next destination. However, the bus has it's last pick up around 6-6:30pm at many of the locations and unless you are lodging close to the final stop, it will be of no use. However, if you have a full day or half day to just ride and see things, this is probably for you. I wish that it would have longer hours to cover later times into the night which would be awesome.

The bus was so crowded people were standing in the aisle which made it very difficult to see the sights. I got the last available seat which was facing backwards, so what little I could see, was of no value. The audio system was unusable because the sound quality was terrible. When we finally got to Bondi Beach which was lovely, we opted to uber back to our hotel which was much more convenient, efficient and had unobstructed views.

Good Tour. The quality and volume of the audio on the busses varies form bus to bus. A digital upgrade to the audio system would greatly improve the audio and make things much more understandable. Great views of all the major sites in the city. The drivers are a great bunch. If you book more than one person be sure to get individual vouchers printed. For some reason I had a voucher that only showed one person and since I did not have two vouchers I had to pay for one on the spot which was about 20 more than I prepaid on line. There are a lot of locations where to pick up the tour. You do not need to pick up the tour at the beginning. There are two routes, Red and Blue, and they over lap on a few stops. Jumping from one route to the other is not a big problem, Just make sure you are on the right route where you got on if you want to end you tour in the same location.
