Standing as the symbol of Kuomintang and Taiwan’s first President Chiang Kai Shek, the massive commemorative monument mirrors the “Clear blue sky, white sun, and a wholly red earth”(青天、白日、滿地紅), which is described in the national anthem, in its architecture. Not only can you enjoy the changing of guards on the hour in the main hall but also visit the National Theater and Concert Hall located nearby.

The house is a traditional Chinese courtyard house with elegant decorations, and famous for its delicate carvings. It is one of the few traditional houses preserved in northern Taiwan. The Lin family came to Taiwan in the 18th century and engaged in trade in northern Taiwan. With the money they made, they built a house and named it. Today, the house is over 160 years old. It is the best-preserved and maintained ancient house in Taipei City.

Once the biggest public baths in East Asia, the historical public bathhouse was built in 1913 during the Japanese Colonial era. Today, this building is transformed into a popular cultural museum where guests can still view the combination of Victorian and Japanese style architecture, and get a glimpse of the rich Japanese onsen culture that has existed for over a century.
