Stop At: Longshan Temple, No.211 Guangzhou Street,Wanhua District No.211 Guangzhou Street,Wanhua District, Taipei, Taipei 211 Taiwan

The most well-known temple in Taiwan. The temple was built in Qianlong 5th year in Qing Dynasty. The doors, beams, and poles are beautifully decorated and these characteristics together make Longshan Temple a landmark of traditional Chinese architecture of its time in Taiwan.

Stop At: Herb Lane, Lane 224, Xichang Street, Wanhua District, Taipei City, Taiwan 108

'Herb Lane,' as it is commonly known, greets visitors with an intoxicating blend of herbal fragrances from the shops. Over 10 herb stores are packed into Lane 224 selling just about anything herbal under the sun. The shops also sell herbal teas to help beat the summer heat.

Pass By: Presidential Office Building, No.122 Chungking South Road, Section 1, Taipei Taiwan

The Presidential Building was built during Japanese colonization period. It was announced by the President as "national historical site" in 1998 and has been open for public tour since then.

Stop At: Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, 21 Chung-Shan S Rd, Taipei 1004 Taiwan

Standing as the symbol of Kuomintang and Taiwan’s first President Chiang Kai Shek, the massive commemorative monument mirrors the “Clear blue sky, white sun, and a wholly red earth”(青天、白日、滿地紅), which is described in the national anthem, in its architecture. Not only can you enjoy the changing of guards on the hour in the main hall but also visit the National Theater and Concert Hall located nearby.

Stop At: Four Four South Village, No.54, Songqin St, Xinyi Dist, Taipei 110 Taiwan

The village got its name because it was dwelled by the workers of Military Factory #44 and their families. As time goes by, the site is adapted into a cultural and educational zone. Some of the old townhouses are retained, while a few others serve as the Xinyi Public Assembly Hall for holding open events and performances, as well as displaying the village’s early remains.

Stop At: Dadaocheng Theater, No. 21, Sec. 1, Dihua St., Datong Dist. 8f, Taipei Taiwan

In Dadaocheng, you will see extravagant Baroque architecture, traditional Hokkien bungalows and brilliant red-brick western houses. Historical buildings, traditional folklore center, tea houses, fabric stores, Chinese pharmacy and local eateries alike are rich in history. A new everyday-aesthetics derives in the vintage neighborhoods of Dadaocheng where century-old stores meet with contemporary innovation.

A walk through the Dihua Street Area gives visitors a feel of Taipei City's past. The old-town market has scores of shops selling a variety of traditional goods.
