Yangmingshan National Park
Yangmingshan National Park is located in the north of Beitou. Yangmingshan was called Caoshan (Grass Mountain) during Japanese occupation of Taiwan, because it was covered with grass and seldom visited.
Qingtiangang Meadow
At 750m above sea level, this former lava field is now covered with lush green pastures that welcome its visitors with a view of sunshine-filled grassy meadows and cattle grazing in bucolic pastures.
Small Oil Pit
Emitting steam and gases all year round, “Small Oil Pit,” as it is fondly referred to by the locals, amazes all visitors who come to witness proof of former volcanic activity.
Lengshuikeng: Cold Water Pit Public Hot Spring & Outdoor Foot-soaking Pool
Compare to the "hotter" hot spring of the Datun Mountains, the hot spring here is colder, only about 40 °C, so it is called Lengshuikeng (Cold Water Pit). This a public hot spring building where visitors are separated by genders and must enter nude. There is also an outdoor foot-soaking pool. All hot springs are free for the public.
