Stop At: Tamarindo Beach, Tamarindo Costa Rica
Depending on boat availability you will either meet on the beach in Tamarindo or you will be picked up at your vacation rental and taken to Flamingo Bay where you'll take a small skiff out to board the catamaran. After everyone has boarded, you'll set sail.
You'll be sailing on a custom built catamaran specifically designed to be the ultimate in day charters. The boat is packed with amenities including a full open bar, trampolines for sunning and lounging, a shaded main salon, fresh water shower, a clean restroom, well maintained snorkel gear, kayaks and a stairway to the sea and with plenty of space to relax.
The daily sailing trips allow you to spot local marine life from above the water as well as from below; encountering sea turtles, manta rays, dolphins and whales… and that is before we've started snorkeling.
The tour allows time for a little of everything. You will be able to enjoy the exhilarating performance of a catamaran, lounge in the sun, use our kayaks and swim in the warm tropical water while spotting dolphin, rays and reef fish. The staff were amazing. Always there to keep a drink in hand! The cruise itself was just the right amount of time. Two major issues though. First, was the fact that the toilet. We were told about this just before boarding. Second, they ran out of food at the end. We were kind of expecting snacks throughout there were chips/salsa and overall plenty of food. I think everyone got a fair amount of food but they did run out after lunch.
The tour was great but the winds were quite crazy that day. We weren't able to take advantage of any of the water stuff. That was really disappointing. I understand the water were too rough but I was hoping that wouldn't have been the case the day we went. The crew was really amazing and always there to please. I like that the boat has a small group. We saw a few with triple the amount and they looked miserable and over crowded. Already recommended to a friend who's going in March.
