About this activity
DAY 1: Tanger – FEZ

Meet and greet at airport upon arrival of scheduled flight will be managed by our personnel and you will then continue on to the city of Fez. Upon arrival in Fez, you will be transferred to your hotel .

DAY 2: FEZ

First thing in the morning, after breakfast, you will begin a guided tour of the city by exploring the Jewish quarter, called the Mellah, and the area surrounding the Royal Palace. Later, you will visit the Great Medina, or ‘Historic Town’ of Fez, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The medina’s quaint, narrow streets and passageways lead you to a genuinely unique experience: its well-known neighborhoods, such as the tannery, weaving and woodworking districts, as well as its markets, bazaars and different madrasas. At midday, you will return to the hotel for lunch and then a free afternoon. That evening, your guide will recommend a dinner show.

DAY 3: FEZ – MEKNES – MARRAKECH

After breakfast, the first stage of this day’s trip will be Meknes. After a brief coffee stop, the panoramic tour of the city will begin, during which you may observe the “Bab Al Manssur” gate, once the gateway to this Imperial City and, without question, the most beautiful and impressive in all of Morocco. You then will continue on to Marrakech and, upon arrival, transfer to the hotel for dinner and accommodation.

DAY 4: MARRAKECH

Following breakfast, your guided tour of Marrakech begins by exploring the area around the Koutubia Mosque, twin sister of Seville’s ‘La Giralda’ bell tower. Then you will visit the Saadian tombs, the Bahía Palace and, of course, the incomparable Plaza D’Jamaa of Fná, gathering place for the most eccentric characters the city has to offer: storytellers, snake charmers, musicians and dancers. Lunch will be served at the hotel.

DAY 5: MARRAKECH – CASABLANCA – RABAT

In the morning after breakfast, you depart for Casablanca, “the industrial and financial capital of the country”, and enjoy a panoramic visit of the city, the highlight being the Great Hassan II Mosque, a modern Moroccan architectural masterpiece (entrance optional). In the afternoon, you will continue on to Rabat, and upon arrival, transfer to the hotel .

DAY 6: RABAT – TANGIER

Following breakfast, you will tour Rabat, the capital of the Alaouite Kingdom. Today’s outing includes visits to the exterior of the Royal Palace, the interior of the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the Ruins of the Old Mosque and the Hassan II Tower (XII century), as well as a panoramic view of the city from the coach bus. Once the tour has concluded, your journey resumes, and after a brief stop in Larache, ends in Tangier with a panoramic of the city and hotel transfer.

DAY 7: TANGIER

Depending on your departure flight schedules, transfer to the airport.

This tour takes you through multiple cities. Some you just drive though. You are on the bus for a long time (sometimes most of the day). The tour bus stops and you can see sights, but there is little time on your own at the sites. You eat most of your meals in the hotel or at rest stops, so there is little time to experience the cuisine. The hotels are good, but the food is bland, and not Moroccan. The guide discusses some culture and history, but there are times you are at a site for only a few minutes. It is a good whirlwind tour of most cities in Morocco, but the description does little to explain what the tour actually is. For example, the first day is just the ferry and drive to Fez, arriving for late dinner. There is no tour. The last day is just a drive to ferry from Tangier, no tour. The second day is a full day in Fez, with dinner in the hotel. You drive through Meknes in about 15 minutes, and only spend a night in Marrakech. You are in Casablanca for a few hours, at most. You are on the bus for most of the time on most of the days. If you want to see many things, this tour is great. If you want to see the locals, culture and experience the food, I would not recommend it.The operator was lovely and very helpful. We met the tour in Fes, and they arranged the entire transfer, and made sure we made it to the hotel. They helped us to our other hotel in Tangier. They guided us with options, and answered all our questions. The tour company and the tour guide were great. My suggestion would be to say more of the exact tour on your website. On another note, Viator was awful. When we called to asked questions, they only read us the website (which we could read). They refused to give us the tour operators information in the USA, even though they have a US number. They could not tell us anything about pick up, or help us in anyway. I would never use them again. We called twice, and both times they only read us the website description, and could not even tell us who operated the tour. Their customer service at one point could not even access their own website.
