Fez & Chefchaoun
At 9:00 A.M Depart your Tangier hotel by private, air-conditioned vehicle with your guide, and head high up into the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen, a town with a stunning walled medina, and originally a Berber post.
Chefchaouen is much more than just a pretty face. The city is full of attractions, thanks to its rich heritage.
- Explore The kasbah, built by Moulay Ismail, is now practically a ruin and located next to it is the great mosque.
- the medina (is small, but authentic: we will stroll through its alleys to mingle with the locals and take in the smells of everyday life)
- The busy market offers a mix of traditional Moroccan wares and souvenirs, with some excellent bargains.
- Have lunch at a traditional restaurant
After lunch, we’ll depart for the oldest imperial city called Fez, Dinner and Overnight in a Beautiful Riad in the heart of the Medina.
At 8.30 and After Breakfast, we enjoy a guided city tour to explore The oldest, largest and best-preserved medieval city in the world Fez,
Fes was founded in 789 AD by Idris I, a descendant of the prophet. We will go on a guided tour with our local guide to explore Fez.
The tour includes:
Fes el Bali, the ancient medina and its souks (areas potters, the madrasa Bou Inania, The University of Al-Karaouine or Al-Qarawiyyin which is the first university in the world, the madrasa of attarine etc..
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in the medina.
After a day of exploring, meet back up with the driver for 3:30pm departure to Tangier, where this tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel.
