Pick-up from your accommodation if it is in Catania, otherwise meeting point in Via Duca Camastra - Gravina di Catania.
Your full-day small group tour will begin at your hotel where you will meet a nature-walking guide who will escort you to Mount Etna, the tallest active volcano in Europe. You will ascend the trail 1.25-miles (2000m) above sea level while your very capable guide shares their knowledge of the origin and the evolution of Mount Etna including its flora, fauna, fascinating landscape and the evocating moon scenery.
After your easy walk around old craters and recent lava fields, you will be given a helmet and torch to venture into a lava flow cave for a unique and unforgettable experience.
The next stop on your excursion will take you to an Organic Company for a free tasting of local products such as honey, oils, olives, dry tomatoes and also the famous Etna wines.
After enjoying provincial products you will reach Taormina, the jewel of East Sicily, the perfect balance between culture, fun, luxury and traditions. You will have 2-hours to admire the wonderful Historic Center where you can sight-see and shop.
