Unknown Sicily - Day Trip from Taormina

This trip could use some fixing. A few problems and also not as advertised, some good, some bad changes. First we spent a long time at the Rock Formations and hours without a bathroom, I know some were concerned. The picnic surprise was the BEST part of the tour!! It was wonderful and all the food was fresh and home made, a nice surprise!!! When we arrived at Montabano it was siesta time so all the shops were closed, not that there are many but the few were closed, and the only places open were restaurants but we had eaten. The Bar was open and you could get a coffee. We had a long time there with not much to do. We arrived at the 2nd town after siesta time with lovely shops and a beautify church, but we only had half an hour. There was no farm tour to see the cheese making, that was one of the things I was most interested in, instead they had some samples of cheese and salamis in an Italian food shop, that was disappointing. The tour guide and driver were wonderful and very knowledgeable, I know most people on the tour were disappointed in the changes and bad timing, but over all we had a nice day and saw beautiful Sicilian Countryside.

this was one of the best tours I have been on we had so much fun i cant say enough about this tour if you are going to sorrento do not miss this tour we saw how they made cheese, we were taking to see the animals on the farm they just had twin cow born 2 days ago. we had such a great time making pizza you have to see it , you cant believe making pizza would be that great fun

When I booked this trip, there was no reviews so I was not sure how the day would turn out.....but it was beyond my expectation! The best about this trip was the lady guide sorry forgot her name!! who was very friendly yet professional. I don't want to write so much in details of the trip so you will find out yourself but do NOT miss the lunch at the local Trattoria that opened its doors just for us! It was not included in the tour price but 15 Euros per person....local Sicilian cuisine....the best ever, you can't taste them at the restaurant in the centro Taormina!! Since it is not covered by the excursion, you are not required to eat, but please do not pass on this opportunity....really the great food ever!!
