Catalunya Cycling Excursion with Catalan Lunch

Once our guides have collected you from your pick-up point in our minibuses, you will arrive at our traffic-free practice area and be allocated a bike, HIV vest and helmet. After a short practice session and safety briefing, we will make a short 25 mins journey into the stunning mountains which surround the commercial resorts.

When we arrive at the first stage of the bike ride, we will unload the bikes and give you details of your route. One of the minibuses will set off and the freewheeling fun begins.

This excursion is done over 4 stages, totally approximately 48km with 92% downhill, 4% on the flat and 4% with a slight incline, on safe, quite tarmac roads. The minibuses are with you throughout the whole excursion, so if you decide not to cycle one of the stages, simply sit back and enjoy the scenery from the comfort of the bus.

At the end of stage 2 we stop in the quaint village of Riudoms, where the locals will show you how they produce their award winning olive oil, and you will have a chance to taste it.

The next 2 stages of the bike ride will show you a 14th century monastery, pine forests, vine yards and beautiful views.
Around 14.30 we will complete the ride and load the bikes, to begin a short 10 min drive to a traditional Catalan restaurant, where you will get a real "taste" of Catalunya with this freshly produced local cuisine and wines of the region. Once you've enjoyed your leisurely lunch we will return to your resort around 17.00.
