Discover a world covered in magnificent flowers and exotic plants when you take a self-guided tour of the Blue Lotus Water Garden. Located close to Melbourne in the heart of the Yarra Valley, you will make your own way to the gardens using public transport or by car. Once you arrive, present your pre-purchased ticket at the entrance and you will receive a complimentary garden map that contains extensive information about the feature plants, attractions and facilities.

You will then be free to enjoy the flexibility of setting your own pace as you wander the walking tracks. Discover wonderful vistas like the 9 bridge walk through the middle of Monet’s Lake with its spectacular sculpture fountains and carpet of waterlily flowers including a collection of Claude Monet lilies, stroll along the Native River Garden with its shady tree fern stands and towering gum trees reaching over 100 feet high, and maybe even spot a platypus in the river or some of the amazing bird life in the branches!

As you wander around this tropical paradise, don't forget to visit the famous Golden Lotus with its 88 petals and Asian Garden Arbour. You will also see the ancient Japanese Lotus that was around during the time of the dinosaurs. Finally, for the young at heart, the fabulous Fairy Garden will put a smile on any child’s face with its giant mushrooms, fairy village, cubby houses and the Lotus Fairy Queen who reads stories on weekends.

The family friendly gardens contain extensive picnic & BBQ facilities with dozens of huts and shelters. Also onsite you will find the Lily Pond Cafe, Garden Ice Cream Kiosk, Retail Plant & Flower Nursery, Rod’s Garden Shop and the Blue Lotus Bazaar Gift shop.
