About this activity
The local tasting tour begins at Mount Maunganui with a tasting at a boutique brewery, which produces a range of natural beers and ciders without preservatives or added sugar. Our next stop take us to the medal winning Leveret Estate for a presentation and tasting, there will be great scenery to enjoy on the way.
The tour will then return to Tauranga. If time and weather permits, you will head up to the Minden Lookout for an overview of the Coastal Bay of Plenty. On a fine day, White island, an active volcano, can be seen from the lookout. The tour travels on to the prestigious family-owned Mills Reef Winery for lunch (not included in price) and a wine presentation with tasting.
The day concludes with a cocktail and dessert at one of Tauranga's top restaurants overlooking the harbor. Afterwards, you will return ship-side via one of the best beaches in the Southern Hemisphere.
The tour cost covers transport, presentations, tastings, and dessert. It does not cover the cost of lunch at Mills Reef, where clients usually have just one course with a dessert is provided at the next stop.

Paul Marston did a great job on our tour. Without a doubt this is one of the best tour values I have ever enjoyed.
This was an excellent tour with the delightful and knowledgeable Paul. We couldn't have asked for a better host and guide. Loved seeing kiwis on the vine and tasting kiwi products, the wineries were beautiful and we had a lovely, outdoor lunch. We were on a cruise but opted to take this small group tour versus the cruise ship excursion on a large bus. Take this tour!!!
