About this activity
In the morning 08:00 after a complimentary greeting from our Guide you will be driven to the
Vashlovani National park. Ride takes 2.5 Hours to reach visitors center. we will need to check our passports with border police ( this procedure might take up to 10-15 minutes)
We start our Off road trip and the first stop is
khornabuji Fortress, built in 5th century strengthening eastern border of the country. Included in
UNESCO world heritage .
Short turn to The north of The region and we will visit
Abandoned Soviet military Airport, which is hundred percent worth it to see with your own eyes. The place nowadays is used by locals to storage the harvest.
Next after 1 hour ride we will reach
Bear Canyon Pantishara. It includes several thousands of nests. This so-called town was built by the swallows and it shows the manner of their colonial life. In early spring this town is occupied by sparrows . Later, the swallows, returning from warm countries, are furiously fighting to get back their town. As a rule, the fight is ended with driving the sparrows out. Paradise for
birdwatchers.
In Between before Heading towards mud volcanoes,we will have lunch/picnic break. Lunch will be served with Plastic containers and we will have self service for ourselves. lunch boxes are provided. Due to the reason lunch boxes are prepared in advance, Our customers need to tell us if they are vegetarian or not!
afterwards we will drive 2.5 hours to reach Mud-Volcanoes near the border of Azerbaijan.
A
mud volcano or
mud dome is a landform created by the eruption of mud or slurries, water and gases. Several geological processes may cause the formation of mud volcanoes. Mud volcanoes are not true igneous volcanoes as they do not produce lava and are not necessarily driven by magmatic activity. The Earth continuously exudes a mud-like substance, which may sometimes be referred to as a "mud volcano". Mud volcanoes may range in size from merely 1 or 2 meters high and 1 or 2 meters..
By this time we have seen all major sights in Vashlovani NP and we head towards Tbilisi. Drive takes 3.5 hours from Mud volcanoes.
Drop off at the place of customer's residency.
