Full-day wine tour in Georgia
On this tour your will experience an enticing blend of history, culture, and gastronomy starting in Mtskheta, the old capital of Georgia. Later visit the famous Georgian wineries and palace where your tour will end in an underground wine bar in Tbilisi for a tasting.
In the morning meet your guide at the reception of your hotel to travel to Mtskheta, the old capital of Georgia, that is over 3000 years old! You will be driven to visit the monastery Djvari dating from the 4th-6th century and the 11th century Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
Later continue your wine tour at Chateau Mukhrani, founded in 1878 by the Prince of Mukhrani, heir of the royal family of Georgia. You will visit Ivan Mukhranbatoni’s palace, a forest – park stable and look at the vineyards and visit the ultra-modern winery. Visit Iago’s winery in the central region of Kartli, village Chardakhi, where you will be able to taste this vintner’s superb rare wines and enjoy a lunch.
In the evening, sip on natural wines at Vino Underground wine bar where the wine-makers will introduce their wines to you and share thier stories about the wine making process.
