Itinerary:

  • Borjomi mineral park – is a place where first mineral water was bottled in Georgia. Borjomi mineral parks include different attractions, hot spring pools and mineral waters. Here you can drink mineral water from the spring or bottled it yourself.

  • Rabati Castle- originally built in 9 centuries were the major centre of the region. Located on the silk road and occupied by several empires, its architectural style is an unique in Georgia. Rabati Castle complex unites Georgian architecture such as Meskhetian halls, towers and church, as well as Ottoman Empire building such as mosque, pools. Visit the Rabati state museum and explore historical artefacts found in and around Rabati. 

  • Vardzia cave monastery – cut off in the 12th century, originally was supposed to be a defense stronghold but turned into the monastery later by the Kind Tamar. At its peak, it united 3000 caves and could accommodate 50 000 people inside the caves. Today, you can hike to the cave town and explore its magnificent caves, tunnels, wineries, churches with beautiful frescoes.
