Scenic Hot Air Balloon Flight in Alazani Valley
Balloon flights take place early in the morning (usually around 6 AM) when the air is still cold after the night. Shorter evening flights are also available upon request and depending on weather conditions. You will be picked up from your hotel in Tbilisi area (at extra charge) and taken to the launch site near Telavi regional airport. Watch your balloon inflate or even help our crew and learn how it's done. Climb aboard and let the adventure begin.
Your balloon will rise in the sky providing stunning views over the valley. Don't worry, the basket is chest-high so there is no way you can fall overboard. Once back on the ground, you will be treated to a glass of champagne followed by an initiation ceremony during which all passengers will be awarded with certificates and badges.
To ensure your safety and hassle-free pickup after the landing, the balloon is followed by our ground chase crew at all times. The adventure usually takes around 4-5 hours, including 1 hour in the sky. After the flight you may continue your journey with us to see what other marvels Georgia has to offer or we will take you back to your hotel to relax and get ready for further exploring on your own.
Please note that due to safety reasons a minimum of 6 passengers is required on each flight. If you have a smaller group, please consider booking our private balloon ride (up to 3 passengers) or contact us directly at balloons@skytravel.ge and we will try to find a slot for your party in a group with other travelers.
We can fly a total of 27 passengers at the same time on three balloons. If you travel in a large group and would like to fly all together or require any other special services, please also contact us at balloons@skytravel.ge.
