Liberty Square or Freedom Square - located in the central part of Tbilisi. Liberty Square is considered as a heart of Tbilisi, which has been renovated and renamed many times. The current name represents the main value and a spirit of Georgian people. At the center of the square, you can see the main monument that represents freedom and victory. It is a 40-meter tall monument at the top of which is a golden statue of St. George slaying the dragon. Here you can also find many interesting places around Liberty Square including Tbilisi City Assembly, Pushkin Park, and the Museum of Fine Arts, where you can explore many interesting items representing Georgian culture and art. Additionally, you can visit Galleria Tbilisi for shopping or just walk through Galaktioni Tabidze Street, where you can encounter many restaurants and cafes. Right here is also located Metro Station, with the help of which you can easily get almost to any part of Tbilisi.

Jvaris Mama Church is located in the old part of Tbilisi. The history of this church dates back to the 5th century, and it is said that Vakhtang Gorgasali took part in the construction of this Church. In the 15th century, the church was rebuilt in its current form. Its interior is covered in recently restored frescoes in striking reds, gold, and blues.

The large Armenian Norasheni Church dates back to 1467, it was lastly renovated in 2015. It is located in the Old part of Tbilisi, on Leselidze Street next to Jvaris Mama Church. For centuries, the different confessions have lived side by side in peace and friendship. The name “Norasheni” means “new settlement.” The influence of western European architecture is observed on the facades. On the upper part of the wall, the rectangular deepening is observed that is crowned with small pediments. The similar pediments are located on the top of several windows.

Tbilisi Sioni Cathedral - a Georgian Orthodox Cathedral in Tbilisi that was built in the 6th and 7th centuries, the current church is based on 13th century version. It is situated in downtown Tbilisi. It is interesting to note that The Sioni Cathedral was the main Georgian Orthodox Cathedral and the seat of Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia until the Holy Trinity Cathedral was consecrated in 2004.

The Bridge of Peace runs across the Kura River, is located between the Metekhi Bridge and the Baratashvili Bridge, the bridge is a model of modern architecture, which is a novelty for Old Tbilisi.

Cable car (Sabagiro), the rope-way, which connects Rike Park and Narikala Fortress. From here opens an incredible view on the capital city and on the Katlis Deda (Mother of Kartli) that is 20-meter aluminum sculpture, representing the main symbol of the city.

Narikala – The oldest defensive fortress was founded in the 4th century. The fortress overlooks a beautiful panorama of Tbilisi.

Abanotubani – District of sulfur baths, where naturally hot mineral waters have healing capabilities. The foundation of the city is associated with the discovery of these waters in the 5th century. Arab geographer Ibn Hawqal (10th century) and Venetian traveler Marco Polo (13th – 14th centuries) provide historical information on sulfur baths. Most of the baths that still remain are influenced by Persian architecture and date back to the 12th and 13th centuries.
