Tour of Tbilisi and Mtskheta

We will start our tour by picking you up from your hotel. First, visit Sameba Cathedral – one of the tallest Eastern Orthodox cathedral in the world and one of the largest religious buildings in the world by total area. Then we’ll drive to the an ancient Capital of Kartli - Mtskheta of 1st century, and see it’s historical monuments that are on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Jvari Monastery (temple of the “Holy Cross”), built in the 6th century. Stand on a high hill overlooking the confluence of two majestic rivers Aragvi and Mtkvari; Svetitskhoveli Cathedral – was built in the early 11th century and is the place where Georgian kings were crowned and buried.

After lunch we will start touring Old Tbilisi, where you can explore the area by walking to Metekhi Church, Rike park, explore the ruins of the Narikala fortress and then stroll down to Sulphur Bath house district, and then Meidan square & Shardeni street neighborhood. Here you can find numerous souvenir shops, art galleries and cafes. Will visit Mtatsminda park in the evening and enjoy panoramic views of the city from top of the mountain.

 Later in the evening we will drive you back to your hotel.
