Half Day Small Group Mavora Lakes 4WD Expedition from Te Anau

There will be a short drive along the main road where you will then turn off onto the famous Von road towards Mavora Lakes. Travel through a high country farming station where you will see plenty of sheep and cattle along the beautiful valley. Drive through a beautiful native Beech forest before emerging at the South Mavora lake where you will make a quick photo stop to take in some stunning scenery. Then continue to the North Mavora lake where the true fun starts. The 4WD track traverses along the side of the lake for an hour up to a back country hut where you will stop for a snack and a drink. The 4WD track is full of water crossings, big ruts and natural fords, all sure to get your heart rate going a little.
