About this activity
Get picked up at your central Tel Aviv hotel to head for the historic city of Jerusalem.

Begin your visit to Jerusalem with an amazing panoramic view over the city and its surroundings from the Mount of Olives. From there continue to the second stop at Mount Zion, a religiously and historically significant location that houses the Church of the Dormition, the Hall of the Last Supper, and the Tomb of King David.

Enter inside the Old City walls to explore the Armenian quarter. Pass along the Cardo, an ancient Roman road that has been restored and is now part of a shopping arcade. Move on to the Jewish Quarter and head for the Western Wall, also known as the Wailing Wall or the Kotel. Many see it as the largest praying location in the world.

Continue on into the Christian Quarter where you pass along the Via Dolorosa, the route taken by Jesus. Conclude your tour with a visit to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

The tour ends at 1:30pm in the Old City of Jerusalem.

Please note: Return to Tel Aviv is not included.

We were picked up on time from our Tel Aviv airport, took a small bus to Jerusalem where we walked in the magical old town where all religions were formed. The guide was excellent, offering both historic facts and colourful legends (but distinguishing them always). Even though I am not really religious the atmosphere of Jerusalem took me by surprise. Definetely a must see. For the half day tour that I partook in, return to Tel Aviv is very very easy, and cheap. Take the tram from Jaffa or Damascus gate, get off at central station and take a bus to Tel Aviv, they pass every 10 minutes or so.

There were some communication issues before the trip concerning the small-group/large-group and half-day/full-day distinctions. In the end, small-group, half-day yours truly was put on a small-group, full-day tour, and everything worked out fine. I left at Jaffa Gate in Jerusalem around 1:00 p.m. before the others headed off the Yad Vashem, lunch, and Tel Aviv...... My half day on the tour in Jerusalem was wonderful. Our guide, Giora, was excellent. How nice to be taken around by someone so knowledgeable and passionate about history! My goal was to get from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and get the lay of the land in the latter city. I wound up getting so much more. Really a pleasurable experience.

Had a brilliant tour guide Yehuda, very informed and jolly. The tour was brilliant, just right for us, he knew his stuff. The only glitch is the place he takes you in Jerusalem for a lunch break maybe there was little choice, dunno, it was truly underwhelming or if you do go opt for the falafel. Would definitely recommend.
