Day 1: Arrival at Trichy. Drive to Kumbakonam, en-route visit Thanjavur Big Temple, Chandran Temple, Swamimalai Murugan Temple

Brihadeshwara Temple (Tamil: Peruvudaiyar Kovil) is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva. The temple is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the "Great Living Chola Temples", along with Brihadeeswarar Temple, Gangaikonda Cholapuram and Airavatesvara temple

Stop At: Sri Kailasanathar Temple [Chandran Temple] (Moon), Thingaloor, Tamil Nadu 612204, India
Thingaloor is 22 kms from Kumbakonam. The principle deity in the sanctum sanctorum is Kailasanathar with his consort Periya Nayaki. There is a separate, compact shrine for Chandra.

Swamimalai is the fourth among the six sacred shrines dedicated to Lord Muruga, situated about 5 kms from Kumbakonam city on the banks of the tributary of river Cauvery. The presiding deity Lord Swaminathan (Murugan) here expounded the meaning of the Pranavamantra "OM" to his own father Lord Shiva.

Day 2: Navagraha Temples around Kumbakonam (Visit Guru Temple, Raaghu Temple, Sani Temple)

Stop At: Arulmigu Abathsahyeswarar Temple Guru Temple, Padal Petra Temple, Sivan S St, Alangudi, Tamil Nadu 612801, India
The temple is situated at 17 kms from Kumbakonam. Alangudi Guru, Jupiter, known as Guru in Hindu Mythology is the fifth of the Navagrahas; also the fifth planet from the Sun. It is by far largest planet in the Solar System. Jupiter features in Greek mythology as the King of the Gods, the ruler of Olympus.

Stop At: Arulmigu Naganathaswamy Temple Thirunageswaram, Thirividaimarudhur Thirunageswaram, Kumbakonam 612204 India
Tirunageswaram is at a distance of 5 kms from Kumbakonam. Rahu is one of the nodes of the two eclipses visible from Earth - the Solar and the Lunar. He is known as the one who is remover of diseases, the one who bestows freedom from fear of snakes and poisonous reptiles.

Temple is situated about 12 kms from Kumbakonam. Shukra or Venus is one of the nearest planets to Earth. It is the second planet from the Sun and the sixth largest in the Solar System. Shukra is the preceptor or guru of the Asuras.

Temple is situated at a distance of 52 kms from Swamimalai. Mars also known as Mangal or Chevvai or Angarakan is a planet appearing after dusk as a red object in the summer sky. He is a planet who needs to be worshipped by the believer when misfortune strikes.

Budha or Mercury is the planet closest to the Sun. It is also the smallest and gentle planet. Easily visible with naked eye and it moves so fast. In Hindu mythology, Budha is Buddhi Nathan

Stop At: Naganathaswamy Temple (Ketu), Kezhaperumpallam, Near Kumbakonam (Kethu), Vanagiri, Tamil Nadu 609105, India
Keezhaperumpallam is about 65 kms from Kumbakonam. Kethu is Rahu’s complementary node of the eclipse. He is considered great among the Asuras while being a gem among sages and seers who have conquered the senses and controlled the mind. Kethu augments the boons granted by other Grahas.

Day 4: Drive to Trichy. Visit Srirangam Temple, Thiruvanaikovil Temple, Rockfort Temple and Departure

Stop At: Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, Srirangam 7 km north of Tiruchy, Tiruchirappalli 620006 India
The temple is also termed as "Paradise on the earth". This temple ranks the first among the 108 holy shrines for Lord Vishnu. Here Vishnu is named as "Ranganatha". The temple area is very massive consists of 21 towers and 7 entrances.

Stop At: Tiruvanaikovil Arulmigu Jambukeswarar Akhilandeswari Temple, N Car St, Thiruvanaikoil, Srirangam, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu 620005, India
This temple here is dedicated for Lord Shiva and the lingam in the Sanctum Sanctorum signifies one of the five elements of Nature, "Water". The unusual lingam under a Jambu tree always remains under water. The beautiful temple of Jambukeswaram is situated in Srirangam, an island in the river Kaveri (also Cauvery), near the city of Tiruchirappalli.
