Next stop of your visit will be the ancient city of Pella. Pella was the ancient capital of the Macedonian Kingdom since the late 5th century BC. In the recently structured, beautiful museum you will have the chance to see some magnificent mosaics, silver artifacts, weapons, statues and maps. dated back to the 4th century BC and other priceless items of unique Macedonian art.Just next to the museum you will visit the archaeological site where it is easy to comprehend how big the capital once was while walking around the 4000 hectars site.

Highly recommended to see both places. Pella's museum is pretty new and Vergina with the tombs was just great. We also had greek lunch before we got into the tombs, and it was delicious with a fair price.
