Pantheon or Mytikas! It’s a destination for itself! It is the highest summit in Greece. In just one day, you can experience the awe of Daniel-Baud Bovy, Fred Boissonnas and Christos Kakalos when they first hit the top. The feeling they felt was reflected in the characteristic phrase that Boissonnas wrote: “We arrived! The first people, after the gods left. “
Even if your time is limited, you can easily and safely find yourself at the top where history and mythology get together and make you feel like a part of them.
Duration: 30 minutes
Location: Mount Olympus, Greece
Our hiking to Skolio 2nd highest peak all of this will take about 3-4 hours. If we are lucky, we would see some of the wild horse flocks and surely some shamois flocks running around the highlands!
Take your time to feel the shiver of the moment, and if the weather is clear we will have a clear view of the surrounding peaks. The view from here is incredible, you can see beyond the horizon and even Epirus cab be spotted from here! Now you understand why the ancients Greeks had placed their gods here!
