Day 1: Arrive to San José

Stop At: Hotel Grano De Oro, Calle 30, Av 2, San José Province, San José, Costa Rica
Welcome to Costa Rica! For your added comfort, once you have passed immigration and customs and stepped out of the airport doors, you will have one of our representatives waiting for you outside with a sign with your name on it. He will drive you to your hotel in San José. You will receive a welcome package with your vouchers, a country map, and any other touristic information that we deem you may find useful.

Day 2: Private Transfer from San José to Arenal

Stop At: Tabacon Hot Springs, Tabacon Grand Spa Thermal Resort, Arenal Volcano National Park, La Fortuna de San Carlos Costa Rica
Arenal Volcano, located in La Fortuna, is the most iconic volcano in Costa Rica. For most of modern history, Volcán Arenal was just another dormant volcano surrounded by fertile farmland. But for about 42 years, the volcano was an ever-active and awe-striking natural wonder, producing menacing ash columns, massive explosions and streams of glowing molten rock almost daily. The fiery views are gone for now, but Arenal is still a worthy destination, thanks to the dense forest covering her lower slopes and foothills, and her picture-perfect conical shape up top. This area is rugged and varied, rich with wildlife and laced with trails.

Day 3: Hanging Bridges, Fortuna Waterfall,Lunch & Arenal Volcano national park

Stop At: La Fortuna Waterfall, Arenal Volcano National Park, La Fortuna de San Carlos 106-4417 Costa Rica
We have designed this tour to show you the main attractions located around the Arenal Volcano in case you don´t have much time. There is no doubt that our forests are one of the highlights which is why we will first visit the Arenal Hanging Bridges to walk through the forest along trails and bridges that allow you to see plants and animals from high above. At around 11:30 am we will arrive at the second place of interest, the La Fortuna Waterfall. It is famous for its height of 60 meters (197 feet). There you can take a refreshing swim in its cool waters or take pictures of its beauty.

At 1:30 pm it is time to eat lunch. We will stop at a nice restaurant near the town of La Fortuna. Later at around 3:00 pm we will head towards the Arenal Volcano National Park to hike on the trail called lava slides to get to the viewpoint that is closest to the volcano. From there you can see the Arenal Lake, the secondary forest and the areas devastated by previous eruptions.

Day 4: Private Transfer from Arenal to Conchal

Playa Conchal (“Shell Beach”) is located in the Guanacaste Province and is exceptional thanks to its turquoise water as well as its sand, composed of tiny,coloured shells. It is a perfect destination for a calm and off the beaten track beach vacation with the opportunity to swim or snorkel in the clear waters or just enjoy the beach’s beauty.

Day 5: Free Day at Conchal

Day 6: Private Transfer from Conchal to San José

Stop At: Xandari Resort And Spa, 1 Km Ne Del Salon El Diamante, Alajuela Province, Alajuela, Costa Rica
As capital of Alajuela province, this city lies just a few minutes away from the Juan Santamaria International Airport. With easy access and plenty of bus routes, getting in and out of Alajuela is not a problem. A leading trade center for cattle and the sugar industries of the neighbouring areas, Alajuela is also a fantastic summer getaway. This is in part due to the fabulous weather this city experiences throughout the year with its temperate climate. In the center of the city is a huge impressive red dome church that is a few minutes away from the Parque Central. This park is lush and green, and is the ideal place to hang out and mingle with the locals, who often come here in the afternoons. West of the park is Alajuela’s central market, which takes up an entire city block and is a great place to shop. Another tourist attraction in this city is the Juan Santamaria Cultural Historical Museum nearby the Central Park. This museum houses many historical maps, artifacts and portraits from the battle of 1856. To sample authentic Costa Rican cuisine, visit the Mercado Municipal or any of the local restaurants in the city.

Day 7: Departure from Alajuela to the International Airport
