About this activity
Our office is located in the center of La Fortuna. If it's easier for you, we can pick you up at your hotel of vacation rental. Just let us know the exact location. our office is a great place to buy water shoes and other gear, as well as a souvenir t-shirt of your adventure!

After hotel pickup, travel in air-conditioned transport on a scenic 45-minute drive through country roads up into the mountains and then down into the dense Costa Rican jungle. Disembark near Children’s Eternal Rainforest, at a remote and secret canyon area discovered by your guide-pioneers for the express purpose of providing an extreme rainforest expedition, playfully dubbed 'Gravity Falls.' Get fitted with high-quality harnesses and helmets during your safety briefing.

Begin your approx. 4 hours in the rainforest on top of a cliff and take an adrenaline-pumping rappel down an 80-foot waterfall. Listen to the crashing water and watch your guide’s hand signals for instructions as you descend. Once you get the hang of it, bounce off the rock wall on your way down. When you’re near the bottom, let go! Splash into a deep pool of transparent water and swim to shore.

Want more? Follow your guides for a hike through the rainforest and pay close attention to where you step, avoiding rocks slippery with lichen. Make your way across an open part of a canyon and when you reach another cliff, rappel and jump into another pool of water below.

Enjoy brief downtime as you swim a narrow canyon passage, or float down the river on your back and look up at the rainforest canopy above. Next, climb and tread along a deep river canyon, gripping footholds in the wall. You’ll conquer four more waterfall jumps, ranging from 10 to 30 feet, calling for different types of leaps and landings, with more pools of water waiting for you.

Soaked but exhilarated, swim to the rocky shore after your final waterfall jump and then enjoy a tropical fruit fiesta of watermelon and Costa Rican pineapple.

Follow your guides out of the rainforest and board your vehicle that takes you to local restaurant. Tear into a hearty lunch featuring sumptuous local fare and afterward, doze off during the ride back to your hotel.

Please note: A minimum of two people per booking is required.
