Outdoor Adventure from La Fortuna

Get picked up for this 13-hour tour form your La Fortuna hotel between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. During this tour, you'll have the option to participate in different activities. You'll be able to choose between kayaking, tubing, horseback riding, and rappelling.
After your chosen activities, go on the “Calcium Canyon” hiking trails where you can take a quick circular-loop hike, and see natural hot springs welling up from the forest floor and the beautiful calcium formations the water makes on its path to the river. Midway along this hike, you'll see the incredible “Guacima” tree that has enormous buttress roots 20-feet (6-meters) wide and offers a mystical photo opportunity. Before or after your activities, you can relax in the hot spring pools close to the Arenal River, or take a dip in a natural river pool where hot water percolates from the sand beneath your feet. It's a spectacularly beautiful and natural environment great for swimming or relaxing in a lounge chair and watching the river flow over the rapids.
