About this activity
This Rafting Class II & III tour is the ideal adventure for adrenaline junkies, culture-aware individuals, and nature-lovers. It all starts by a short, but enchanting, journey with beautiful landscapes dotted with pineapple, papaya and yucca plantations having the impressing Arenal Volcano on the horizon as backdrop.
At getting to Sarapiqui River, an expert guide will share some safety-wise pieces of advice to get the most out of this experience. Once you are all set it´s time to grab the oar, hop on the vessel and enjoy an exciting adventure! Traverse 10 km of this body of water rapids and test your skills to face small, but challenging, eddies.
Go right, then left, but have fun as ever while letting the current take you downstream. Once you reach backwater, seize the opportunity to jump on crystal waters to freshen up a bit. Along the way, keep on alert because, with some luck you´ll be able to glimpse at some local flora and fauna, like an impressing 500 year-old tree!
For a comforting ending to this odyssey, a delicious, traditional lunch will be served, as a way of discovering some of Costa Rica’s culture and traditions.
