Tastes of Tijuana Food Tour

Greet your guide and the rest of your small group at a central meeting point at 3pm, then set off to sample some of the best food that Tijuana has to offer. Travel by foot and public transport, learning to navigate the city like a local as you enjoy tastings of classic Tijuanero dishes at several separate stops. Line up at a back-alley cart for delicious tortas, tacos and tostadas; then step into a paletería for a homemade frozen popsicle that’s full of fresh fruit.

Visit the "birthplace" of the Caesar salad, and hear about the city's glamorous golden age when celebrities frequented the elegant restaurants here. Make a stop at Tijuana's oldest open-air market to discover local cheeses, fresh fruits, and regional specialty products from all over Mexico. Get a sense of what life is like in one of the world's busiest border-crossing cities, and learn how modern young chefs are driving Tijuana's culinary scene.
