Day 1. Airport - Tirana
Pick up at Tirana airport and transfer to hotel.
Day 2: Himare via Vlore & Llogara National Park
After breakfast we drive to Himare and the Albanian Riviera by way of the city of Vlora, where the Adriatic and the Ionian sea meet, for a coffee break. Head for lunch among pine trees in Llogara National Park. Stop at the "Riviera Balcony" for a far away stretched view of the many bays and beaches. Enjoy e free evening in the seaside village of Himara.
Day 3: Gjipe Canyon & Bay and Boat Ride to the cove of Jale
Transfer to Gjipe beach through snakey seaside road. 10 min of walking is needed to unveil a well protected bay with a gravel beach and turquoise waters. 40 min downhill hike along its canyon is another option to reach the bay. Enjoy a relaxed beach day until the late afternoon. In July/August we have a boat ride towards Jale Bay
Day 4: Livadhi Beach Day
Transfer to Livadhi beach with its coarse sand and Communist bunkers spread around one of the largest beaches in Himara area. Enjoy a relaxed beach day until the late afternoon. Celebrate your beach day in Himara in the evening.
Day 5: Sarande via Borsh Beach & Ali Pasha Castle
Leave Himara for the seaside town of Saranda. Stop en route to the idyllic beach of Borsh. Enjoy snorkeling, exploring underwater caves. Relax swimming, sunbathing and having Albanian style “refreshing”: Raki and fruits. Transfer to Saranda in the late afternoon where en route to you will stop and explore the Ali Pasha Castle with your Tour Director. Marvel at the architecture and listen to entertaining legends about the man who build it, Ali Pashe Tepelena. Celebrate your beach day with a seafood based dinner by the Ionian Sea, enjoying Saranda’s sunset.
Day 6: Butrint (UNESCO) & Ksamil Islands
Set off for a beach day at Ksamil Islands. Travel by boat to the Twin Islands close by, to explore, swim, sunbathe and enjoy food and drinks at small cafés and restaurant on the Islands. Spend your afternoon in Ksamil or Add an Excursion. Optional Excursion: Unesco – recognized Butrint Archaeological Park. (available on tour) Enjoy the scenery in the Castle of Lekuresit, where a superb view stretches at sunset over Saranda and Butrint Lagoon.
Day 7: Tirane via “Blue Eye” spring & Gjirokaster
On the road to Tirane, stop at the “Blue Eye” spring. Marvel at the hypnotic waters and hundreds shades of blue. Explore the park’s communist ruins while listening to the calming sound of the river, crossing it. Enjoy lunch in the Bazaar of Gjirokaster and have a free afternoon wandering around the UNESCO-recognized “city of stone” before transferring to Tirana. En route to Tirane, pit stop in Lushnje for a “byrek break” .
