Theth Day Tour

We will start walking toward the Church of Theth. The church as the hallmark of Theth, dates from 1892 and is one of the most visited sites in the area. Theth has a predominantly catholic population and this is visible through the influence of the church’s clergy for centuries. Some of the priests who have served in this church where well know Albanian writers who have contributed immensely in the education of the local population.
Our next stop is to the Waterfall of Grunas. It takes about 1 hour to walk from the church to Grunas Waterfall. The waterfall is about 30 m high and is considered as one of the most beautiful natural monuments in Theth for which it has received a protection status by the Albanian Government.
After this refreshing visit we walk down to Grunas Canyon on our way to the Blue Eye. The canyon is about 60 m deep and about 2 km long. After this short visit we continue walking to the Blue Eye, where there is a possibility to swim and enjoy refreshments. This pool is about 100 m2 and about 5 m deep. Keep in mind that even during the summer the water temperature is really cold if you intend to swim there.
