Day 1: Kyoto (Orientation at Rakutabi Machiya)
Stop At: 東京駅日本橋口, 1-chōme-6-3 Marunouchi, Chiyoda City, Tōkyō-to 100-0005, Japan
Meet at Tokyo station, Nihonbashi Exit (train details and time will be sent you at a later date.)
Duration: 5 minutes
Stop At: Kyoto Station Building, Higashishiokojicho, Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto 600-8212 Kyoto Prefecture
Travel by Shinkansen Nozomi to Kyoto Station and then take a taxi to Rakutabi Machiya, a shop inside a traditional Kyoto townhouse, where you will receive your bento lunchbox for the day.
You will also be given advice on how to explore Kyoto by yourselves with details on attractions, transport etc.

Day 6: Kyoto (Temple visits)
Stop At: Mount Hiei, Kyoto Kyoto Prefecture
After breakfast of traditional rice porridge at a traditional Kyoto restaurant, Hyotei, visit the temples around Mt. Hiei and Ohara in the northern part of the city (by bus or taxi.) This includes a special visit to Enryaku-ji Temple where you will have access to an area usually off-limits to the public. Visit Sanzen-in Temple, the main attraction of Ohara, as well.

- The departure time from Tokyo is between 9:00~9:30. Details of the exact location and Shinkansen details will be provided around a week before departure.
- Shinkansen seating: even if you booked as a group or pair, you may not be able to sit next to or near each other.
- Accommodation: Mitsui Garden Hotel Shinmachi Bettei is a 7 minutes’ walk from Exit 22 of Karasuma Station on the Hankyu Kyoto Line. You will stay in a modern Western-style twin room (same room for all 6 nights.) The bathing area on the first floor is open between 15:00~01:00 & 06:00~09:00 and please use the towels provided in your rooms. If you wish to dine at the hotel restaurant IZAMA, please make a booking and pay for your own meal. Free Wi-Fi available.
- Delays or omissions made to the itinerary due to traffic, weather or other circumstances that are beyond the control of the tour operator are not subject to refund
- If the tour operator has to cancel the tour because of a typhoon, heavy snow or other circumstances beyond their control, this will be decided by 3pm the day before tour departure; you will be informed by e-mail and suggested a new departure date or receive a full refund
- This tour is operated for both Japanese and foreign customers.
- For days involving visits to attractions, an interpreter will accompany the trips [Day 1 (Kyoto station~hotel); Day 4 (All day, except for October); Day 6 (all day): Day 6 and 7 for October departures]
- Any travel involving taxis will be shared with fellow travelers.
- According to traffic conditions etc, the order of the itinerary may be changed.
