Stop At: Shinjuku Washington Hotel, 3-chōme-2-9 Nishishinjuku, Shinjuku City, Tōkyō-to 160-0023, Japan

Meet with your tour conductor at the 3rd floor of the hotel.

Duration: 5 minutes

Stop At: Chateau Katsunuma, 4729, Katsunumacho Hishiyama, Koshu 409-1302 Yamanashi Prefecture

Travel by coach to Yamanashi Prefecture. Known as a wine-making region, the prefecture harvests high-quality grapes. Sip on Japanese wine at the Chateau Katsunuma winery, and browse for bottles to buy and take home during your half-hour visit.

Stop At: Iwanamino Orchards, 1579-1 Enzanoyashiki, Koshu, Yamanashi 404-0053, Japan

Your next stop is the city of Enzan. Stroll around the Village of Dried Persimmons, Koro-kaki no Sato, for around 15 minutes, and see the persimmons strung together like beads and hung like curtains as they dry in the sun.

Stop At: 信玄館, 2311-1 Enzanoyashiki, Koshu, Yamanashi 404-0053, Japan

Walk onward to Shingen Yakata restaurant for a lunch of Koshu wine beef and the local hearty "Hoto" hot-pot, made with miso soup, thick noodles and seasonal vegetables. For those who cannot eat beef, an alternative meal can also be prepared (please specify your preference in the "Special Requirements" field at the time of booking, and also write what kind of food you can eat. Please not that this alternative arrangement cannot be made on the day of the tour).

Stop At: Arakurayama Sengen Park, 3353-1 Arakura, Fujiyoshida 403-0011 Yamanashi Prefecture

After the lunch break, you’ll travel to Arakurayama Sengen Park to admire the views of Mt. Fuji together with the famous red-lacquered, 5-storey Chureito pagoda and a beautiful display of autumn foliage. The 30-minute walk to the vantage point takes 400 uphill steps, but once at the top, you’ll have over an hour to relax and enjoy the sights.

Stop At: Sagami Lake Resort Pleasure Forest, 1634 Wakayanagi, Midori-ku, Sagamihara 252-0175 Kanagawa Prefecture

Then, head to Sagami Lake Resort Pleasure Forest to see the Sagamiko Illumillion lights display. The display is the largest of its kind in the Kanto region, showcasing around 6 million lights.

Stop At: Maple Corridor, Kawaguchi, Fujikawaguchiko, Minamitsuru District, Yamanashi 401-0304, Japan

Continue to Lake Kawaguchi for more vistas of Mt. Fuji amid a backdrop of fall colors.

Stop At: Shinjuku Station West Exit Event Space, 1 Chome-5 Nishishinjuku, Shinjuku City, Tokyo 160-0023, Japan

After a long day full of attractions, you’ll travel back to the starting point in Tokyo’s Shinjuku area. Arrival is expected at around 19:00 to Shinjuku Washington Hotel (by request only) and to nearby Shinjuku Station West Exit.

  • The best time to view the autumn foliage varies depending on the weather and temperature of the season. This tour is organized with reference to the blooming conditions of previous years, however blooming season varies depending on the climate. The best time to see autumn leaves in the sites of this tour is usually between early and late November. In some cases you might not able to enjoy the scenery as shown in the photo and you may have a shorter visiting time
  • If the weather is not favorable, you might not be able to see Mt. Fuji
  • Meal contents are subject to change due to availability on the day.
  • If you cannot eat beef, an alternative dish can be prepared. Please specify your preference in the "Special Remaks" field when booking the tour, and also write what kind of food you can eat. Please not that this alternative arrangement cannot be accepted on the day of the tour
  • Wearing clothes and shoes that let you move easily and comfortably is strongly recommended. You will have to walk up for approx. 20-30 minutes (400 steps) one way to the cherry blossoms viewing spot at Arakurayama Sengen Park. Please note the bus cannot take you to the viewing spot
  • It will be cold in the evening during the visit to the illumination event. It is strongly recommended to bring extra clothes
  • Not recommended for travelers with leg problems. This tour requires a lot of walking, specially at Arakurayama Sengen Park (You will need to climb 400 steps one way).
