Itinerary

Day 1: Mt. Fuji 8th station

Stop At: Shinjuku Washington Hotel, 3-chōme-2-9 Nishishinjuku, Shinjuku City, Tōkyō-to 160-0023, Japan
Meet at 7:50
Duration: 5 minutes

Stop At: Mt.Fuji 5th station, Mt.Fuji Fujinomiya Route 5th station, Fujinomiya 418-0112 Shizuoka Prefecture
Stop for lunch at Fujikyu Unjo-kaku
Duration: 50 minutes

Stop At: Taishi-kan, 7 Chome-15-8 Kamiyoshida, Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi 403-0005, Japan
Climb up to Mt. Fuji's 8th station from the 5th. Stay at either Taishikan or Horaikan for a power nap to be ready for the late night climb to the summit in time for the sunrise.
Duration: 3 hours 30 minutes

Accommodation included: Overnight at Taishikan or Horaikan at the 8th station.

Day 2: Yoshida-guchi Summit

Stop At: Taishi-kan, 7 Chome-15-8 Kamiyoshida, Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi 403-0005, Japan
After the power nap, depart around 22:00-23:00 for the 9th station. From there, you can reach the Yoshida-guchi summit and watch the sunrise (this tour does not go to the rim of the volcano.) Climb down back to Mt. Fuji 5th station and board the bus back to Shinjuku.
Duration: 6 hours

Stop At: Shinjuku Washington Hotel, 3-chōme-2-9 Nishishinjuku, Shinjuku City, Tōkyō-to 160-0023, Japan
Arrive back to Shinjuku around 14:00.

  • Minimum age is 10 years, maximum age is 75 years
  • Elementary school students (10 years and above) must be accompanied by a parent. Other minors must either be accompanied by an adult or have a consent form from a legal guardian
  • Customers without climbing experience and beginners cannot participate in the tour
  • If we decide that you are insufficiently prepared to climb, we reserve the right to refuse your participation on the day. To avoid this potential problem, please bring proper climbing equipment.
  • Minimum numbers apply; There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements; In the event of this occurring, you will be contacted 14 days prior to your travel date and offered an alternative or full refund.
  • Delays or omissions made to the itinerary due to traffic, weather or other circumstances that are beyond the control of the tour operator are not subject to refund.
  • If the tour operator has to cancel the tour because of a typhoon, heavy snow or other circumstances beyond their control, this will be decided by 3pm the day before tour departure; you will be informed by e-mail and suggest a new departure date or receive full refund.
  • Wearing clothes and shoes that let you move easily and comfortably is strongly recommended.
  • An English-speaking tour conductor/staff will provide you some basic information during the tour, but he/she is not responsible for providing any detailed introduction of attractions
  • This tour will not visit the crater
  • Climbers are asked to give monetary contributions to cover the maintenance costs of the hiking trails. A minimum donation of JPY 1,000 is the standard. Please be aware that this is not included in the trip price, so have cash at hand and pay the fee to the tour conductor. This contribution is voluntary but customary and highly encouraged
  • Visitors are asked to pay a fee of JPY100-300 when using the toilets. The prices are as follows: at the 5th Station JPY 100, above the 6th Station JPY 200, on the summit JPY 300. Please bring coins to pay. There might be no toilet paper, so please bring tissues.
  • You cannot go back to the 8th station after leaving. If a child wants to quit the tour at any point, the guardian must also leave the tour.
  • Poor visibility may affect chances to see the sunset and the scenic views
  • The accommodation will be in Taishikan or Horaikan mountain hut. You will have a space on a double bed in a shared room.
  • Sleeping bag is included, but there are no amenities/towels and no washroom or bath in the mountain hut.
  • Not recommended for travelers with back problems
  • Not recommended for pregnant travelers
  • No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
  • Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 28 travelers
