I've been to Harajuku many times but this tour took me to a few shops l'd never been to down side streets l would never have visited myself in fear of getting lost! My guide explained some history of the area and some of the shops we visited. We also visited a local art gallery that is apparently changes exhibits a lot so the next time l was in the area l went again and everything was different! Very good tour if you want to visit the area thoroughly like a local and visit some interesting places. Would have been good to go to one of the second hand clothing shops like the 4 Chicago stores in the area because they have a huge selection of cheap 'Harajuku style' clothes and traditional clothing like kimono and yukata.

Unfortunately I chose a weekday 10am tour so even though I enjoyed no crowds there were no Cosplayers nor parading fashions. I had the guide Halle to myself and she tailored the tour to my interests to make up for this. She gave me great advice on areas to shop and eat which I was grateful for as I was travelling on my own.
