About this activity
Itinerary

You will learn the fundamental Ikebana flower style, the basic upright style of Sogetsu school. A teacher will show you how to hold scissors, how to use KENZAN (a needle-pin holder), how to create the basic Ikebana style. After her demonstration, you will try to make the same flower style by yourself. You will understand the sense of space and the meaning of Ikebana with creating your artwork. After arranging Ikebana, we will enjoy a cup of green tea and Japanese cake together and appreciate your work. An experienced teacher leads this course. We provide this course at the traditional Japanese inn that has 60 years of history. You can enjoy the beautiful retro architecture as well as Ikebana. We will create Ikebana at the TATAMI room. There are so many attractive points in the architecture you can never skip. After Ikebana experience, a staff of Ryokan will show you beautiful architecture, and you can enjoy a mini-tour of Ryokan. Let's take a beautiful photo in like a movie set.
