About this activity
Meet your guide in Asakusa at 9:30am, ready for a 7-hour Muslim-friendly tour of Tokyo. Together with your small group, head for the colorful Buddhist temple of Senso-ji for a stroll around the grounds. After taking a souvenir photo in front of the imposing Kaminarimon, or 'Thunder Gate,' take a walk down bustling Nakamise shopping street to try some tasty snacks (own expense) and check out some of the many historic stores.
Then, see the marvelous architecture and Japanese garden which surrounds Senso-ji before having lunch (own expense) at Halal-certified ramen restaurant next to the temple.
After lunch, take the Ginza-line Metro (own expense) to Shibuya station to see the infamous 'scramble' at Shibuya Crossing. Get your camera ready for the moment the traffic light changes and about 3,000 people cross the intersection at once.
Next, head to Harajuku, the next station on Yamanote line, and visit Meiji-jingo Shrine. Many people visit this shrine to pray on New Year’s Day and also consider it a place of healing. Take the opportunity to experience a quiet moment here in the center of Tokyo.
After visiting Meiji-jingu, take a stroll down Takeshita Street on the other side of the shrine. The contrast between serene Meiji-jingu, which is a symbol of the traditional Japanese culture, and Takeshita Street, the center of the latest pop culture trends, is one of the highlights of the tour. Enjoy taking photos or shopping in the and quirky colorful shops.
Finally, there is time for salat at Tokyo Camii, the biggest mosque in Japan, located in Yoyogi-uehara, two stops from Harajuku, where your tour concludes.

First time to Tokyo and guided by very lovely and warm person, Shizuko-san. She explained everything including destination that we decided to go by ourselves and even checked if we arrived safely at our hotel after our own trip. Thank you very much Shizuko-san.
Good as an introduction on how to go around the city of Tokyo. Small group tour, very much like personal tour where we had two tour guide accompanying us. Very informative and friendly tour guide.
Thank you so much for this amazing tour, the guide helped us a lot with different things in Tokyo it was our first day and covered a lot of places in one day only! highly recommended if you're a muslim or not because the food is halal for lunch and that's why it's called a muslim-friendly.
Excellent day with a wonderful guide- Takeshi! Very impressed with the organization- a notice was left at the hotel confirming pick up time when we check in. I responded that we had check in and would meet at the designated time--Takeshi sent a picture of himself so we could easily identify him. Local subway transportation to each area- showing how to calculate fare and buy tickets. Wonderful way to orient yourself to Tokyo and go back later if you wish. Takeshi was very kind to provide us Muslim friendly maps of Shinjuku and Asakusa---had no idea this even existed! These were very helpful as they show where halal restaurants are, etc. A great day with a great guide--kind, patient and very easy going...THANK YOU!
Thank you Takeshi-San, Naho-San and Yoko-San for the wonderful Muslim tour today. My family and I learned a lot about the Japanese culture, religion and language. We are happy for today and are looking forward when we come again to Japan. Lastly, I really really LOVE the authentic Halal Japanese food!!
it been almost a month after we visited Tokyo but i still can't forget that moment. One Day Muslim-Friendly Tour of Tokyo gave me a great memory that i could never forget. I experienced life as a Japanese where i used train as my main transport to travel from one to another places. This what make this tour is so special. As a Muslim, you don't have to worry about your Halal meal and where you should perform your prayer, Mr. Takeshi will bring you to the best halal meal in Tokyo and give a time for you to pray. The hosts Ms. Akira and Mr. Takeshi are a good people, very nice and willingly to help. The place that they brought us is suitable for our family as i have one 2years old daughter and 66 years old mother. We had so much fun as we visited the Asakusa temple and Harajuku street. I'll will and yet has recommend this tour to my friends. Thank you Mr. Takeshi and Ms. Arika, we are friend now, thank you for suggested us the places in Akihabara and that tasteful meal in Gyumon. Thank you for everything... i'll come back and bring more friends next time. Ja ne
