Itinerary
Head to Kyu-Karuizawa, the fashionable center of the popular Karuizawa mountain resort in Nagano. This is followed by a visit to Asama Shuzo Sake Brewery for a spot of sake and wine tasting.
Explore and spend an evening at Kusatsu Onsen, one of Japan's three major hot springs. Accommodation is Hotel Ichii, a certified 5-star hotel located right in front of the Yubatake (hot water field), the focal point of the resort. The water bubbles to the surface at 70 degrees before being cooled down a little via wooden conduits and then distributed to the ryokans and public baths. You can try some of the 13 public baths on offer. Why not catch a 'Yumomi' show too where performers dance around and sing folk songs around a bath as they cool the water with wooden paddles.
On Day 2, leave Kusatsu Onsen around 11:00 and head to Numata for lunch (50 mins) and then some souvenir shopping (20 mins) before heading back to Tokyo. Estimated arrival back is 17:00.

A Japanese tour conductor with an English speaking staff will accompany the tour and provide you with some necessary information during the trip, but they are not responsible for providing any detailed introduction on the places visited.
- Please wear comfortable clothing and footwear.
- The bus will pick up other guests from other meeting points before arriving to yours. Due to traffic or road conditions, the bus may be late but please be patient and wait at the designated meeting point.
- The tour end point may not be the same as the starting point. Please ask the tour conductor on the day.
