Mr Yoshi Susuki, representing OTOMO, was exactly where we had been instructed to meet him and this was a great start to a marvelous tour. Yoshi asked us where we wanted to go, what we wanted to see and offered his suggestions also. We visited Shinto and Buddhist temples, were educated in the history and rituals of both, went to Japanese gardens, markets, city area's, the amazing subway (used several times to move around) enjoyed a delicious Japanese lunch, walked the busiest pedestrian crossing in Tokyo, went to little known observation decks (free) and had a rest in a cat cafe. Yoshi then assisted us in train travel back to Yokohama. What an incredible day with a gentleman who knew his city intimately. A big THANK YOU to Mr Yoshi Susuki for our whirlwind education,

This tour is the perfect one for a first visit to Tokyo and you visit a number of the top tourist sites during the day. It was a one to one tour with my amazing guide Mr Yoshio, who was the perfect guide. He was willing to tailor the tour based on my interests, was extremely knowledgeable, spoke excellent English and was a genuinely lovely man. He went out of his way to give lots of background information about every site we visited and to explain the relevant history, customs and traditions. Be warned you will definitely do a lot of walking - on the day we did over 25,000 steps as well as traveling on the subway but it was definitely worth it and a great way to see Tokyo and to learn about using the subway. Mr Yoshio even made sure I got back safely to teh nearest station to my accommodation which was very kind of him. I would highly recommend the tour to anyone. One slight issue was with the information given about the meet up - the email and ticket I received told me the meet up point was Shibuya Station at 9am and I was at the main station entrance 10 minutes prior to this. When no-one had turned up by 9:05 I tried calling the company but got no response for over 10 minutes. Apparently I should have been emailed a photo the day before of a meeting point outside the station but this was never received. They did then give me the phone number of the guide who then came to find me once I had spoken to him. This was not the guide's fault at all even though he was very apologetic - please ask the agency to ensure clear meet up instructions are provided. However, this was a minor issue at the start of the day and certainly did not spoil the overall tour or experience. Thoroughly enjoyed this tour and it was very good value.
