The highlight of the tour for us was the snow sledding opportunity. That somehow made for whatever items were drawbacks during the tour. We had a bit of difficulty locating the Shinjuku train exit that was near the front of the Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower as we were not based in Shinjuku, so it may be good to pass by ahead of time to be familiar with the area before the actual day itself. We also found out that the person assigned to be our tour guide did not speak English, so she was using an interpreter from her ipad to help her communicate what she wanted. It was just a bit difficult when trying to ask some questions, so perhaps it is better if there is an option to check if the guide speaks English or not. On the pirate ship cruise, it probably would have been better if someone like the tour guide, if she could speak English pointed out the direction where Mt Fuji would be relative to the red torii at the entrance of the docking area. That way, people would have been prepared where to position themselves and take good photos, than have everyone scramble to one side as everyone suddenly became aware that Mt Fuji was already appearing as the boat was turning around. Also, take note that there are no lockers near the snow sledding area, so either take no bags, or ensure you leave your bags inside any rentable lockers near the souvenir section before heading out to the play area itself. The tour guide gave out mittens so if you lack warmers for your hands, you won't have to worry much. There was also around 2 hours worth of time for shopping at Gotemba, but if you aren't the shopping kind, best to head to a resto/cafe and spend some resting time therein.

Tour guides were new and lack training nonetheless they were corteous and helpful. Good experience especially if you just have limited time in Japan. Suggest to separate days going to fuji and gotemba for visitors who have the luxury of time. Will definitely book another tour with viator next time
