Spring flower tour of Hitachi Seaside Park and Ashikaga Flower Park

1 day
About this activity

This 11-hour one-day tour departs via coach early in the morning at 7:20am from Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower. Spring in Japan is always related to flowers, especially Sakura (Cherry Blossom). In this tour you will view other captivating varieties of Japans flowers. Sit back and relax on a 2-hour journey as your driver takes you to the first point, Hitachi National Seaside Park which is famous for Nemophila (Baby Blue Eyes Flowers). Spend approximately 80 minutes viewing the Nemophilia and other flowers such as Daffodils, Tulips and many others.

Next is a 1-hour stop for lunch. Enjoy your "Sukiyaki" meal at Kumpu Umemitsuki Japanese Restaurant. After lunch, onward to Ashikaga Flower Park. This park is quite different with the previous park. Ashikaga Flower Park offers different types of flowers. Ashikaga is most famous for Oofuji or Wisteria flowers. There are many methods of displaying these flowers. The most popular is making a tunnel of wisteria flowers. The tunnel at Ashikaga is up to 80 meters long. Pass through it and enjoy the atmosphere created by these flowers. The tour will be concluded after spending for about 90 minutes here and the driver will drive you back to Shinjuku.
