Milling inside 'Rucio' Windmill

Only three millers remain in La Mancha and all of them work in the "Rucio" mill. Their job is no longer to get flour, but teach the secrets of windmills to travelers and adventurers. We will accompany the miller to the interior of the mill, where he will explain to us its finalization and its parts. If the wind allows it, he will put the original machinery of the sixteenth century to work for us.

We can see first-hand how the force of the wind flies piece by piece across the windmill to move the two-ton grinding stones and turn the grain into flour. If we wish, we can even save part of the freshly ground flour to take home.

Important: Milling schedule.
• Milling season: Feb-Jun & Sept-Dec / Thursday to Sunday. Guided tours avaiable with the windmill in work. 
• No milling days: Mon to Wed on milling season / Everyday on Jan, Jul, Aug. No guided tours avaiable on this dates.
