About this activity

Explore the chateau of Chambord with your HistoPad and discover the royal castle of King François I listed at UNESCO World Heritage. The Chateau de Chambord is located in the heart of the largest closed forest park in Europe. It is a globally recognized emblem of the Renaissance period with its 440 rooms, 77 staircases and 282 fireplaces. Indeed, the castle of Chambord showcases extraordinary architecture imagined by François I, although he only spent seven weeks in the castle when he was hunting in the region. Not to be missed is the helix stairway, one of the most famous architectural features of Chambord designed by Leonardo da Vinci, along with the 200 individually carved limestone squares decorated with the initials of the king and his symbol.

On this guided tour, you will have access to various private rooms of the castle and see plenty of hidden symbols. Certainly, the beauty and magnificence of the Chateau de Chambord will be breathtaking and a must-see for all tourists visiting the Loire Valley. On this tour, you will visit the 24 king's apartments reconstituted in 3D and virtual reality while hearing about the history of one of the most majestic kings of France, Francois I.
