Day 1: Etna & Taormina

Stop At: Craters Silvestri of Mount Etna, 95030 Nicolosi, Sicily Italy
Full Day Tour - After pick up by your Guide drive towards ETNA the biggest and most active volcano of Europe. Reach the altitude of 6500 feet. Soak up the atmosphere of the volcano as you walk at the nearby Silvestri Craters. Possibility to reach 9800 feet by cable car. En route stop for a Wine Tasting at a local winery which is embedded in a charming and unique context. (If weather for Etna isn’t good, alternatively the program will include Catania & Cyclops Coast).

Stop At: Ancient Theatre of Taormina, Via Teatro Greco 1, 98039, Taormina, Sicily Italy
In the afternoon visit TAORMINA, the pearl of the Ionian Sea. Visit this lovely town with your guide, walk the streets of the old part and visit the famous ancient Greek theater which has inspired generations of travelers and artists. Back to your hotel in Taormina or Catania.

Day 2: Syracuse & Ortigia

Stop At: Parco Archeologico della Neapolis, Via Paradiso 14, 96100, Syracuse, Sicily Italy
Full Day Tour - Pick up at your hotel by your local guide and start for a day trip to SYRACUSE. The Greek capital of Sicily lies in a splendid natural scenery enhanced by the light and beauty of its coast. The most ousted monument in the ancient city is the Theater. 138 meter in diameter and could house 15.000 spectators and more. Neapolis retains the Latomie, which are vast caves used for Ancient Greek building. The biggest of the Latomie del Paradiso, also called “Ear of Dionysius”.

ORTIGIA is the most illustrious ad fascinating district of Syracuse, and presents a coherent and harmonious medieval road network. Several buildings still retain the vestiges of a past which witnessed the presence of a large Jewish colony on Ortygia, whose well-preserved baths may still be admired. The most important centre in the district is the Cathedral Square, onto whose axis the most notable civil and religious buildings converge.

Day 3: Piazza Armerina & Agrigento

Stop At: Villa Romana del Casale, Strada Provinciale 90, Piazza Armerina, Sicily Italy
Pick up at your hotel by you Guide. Drive (approx. 2h) to PIAZZA ARMERINA to visit the well preserved mosaics of the Roman Villa from the 3rd Century, which is among the most luxurious of its kind, giving an interesting insight into Roman life at the time. It is especially noteworthy for the richness and excellent quality of the mosaics which decorate almost every room. The mosaics include a long hunting scene, the famous sporting "bikini girls", and many classical and geometrical examples. Lunch break will be at a local restaurant.

Stop At: Valle dei Templi, Piazza Archeologica 1 Via Panoramica Dei Templi, 92100, Agrigento, Sicily Italy
Continue driving trough the pleasant hilly landscape covered with wheat fields, vineyards, almond and peach trees. Arrive in AGRIGENTO at the celebrated Valley of the Temples, majestically positioned in the same area on rocky crests south of modern day city. When it was called Akragas, Pindaro considered it to be “the most beautiful among mortal cities”. The largest and best preserved temple ruins outside of mainland Greece. Tour this magnificent archaeological park that consists of several Greek temples, built between 430 and 510 B.C. During the guided tour through the archeological area, from the Temple of Juno, enjoy an excellent view of the entire Valley and the Temple of Concordia which is beautifully preserved. The oldest ruin is traditionally named the Temple of Hercules. Overnight in Agrigento.

Day 4: Selinunte

Stop At: Parco Archeologico Selinunte, Via Selinunte, 91022 Marinella di Selinunte, Castelvetrano, Sicily Italy
After breakfast you’ll take a scenic drive with your Guide through a landscape where wonderful olive orchards and vineyards are everywhere. SELINUNTE is one of the most evocative places in Sicily, also one of the most impressive of all Greek sites, never having been built over in modern times. In the 5th Century BC it was second only to Syracuse. The archeological site includes several temples, part of the excavated ancient city, amazing ruins more than 2500 years old and a beautiful landscape. Discover Selinunte on a guided tour: the Eastern Hill with three temples, followed by the Acropolis with the ancient city, more temples and many other interesting excavations dating back to the 7th century B. C.

Finally visit an ORGANIC OLIVE FARM in the Belice Valley. The prestigious "Nocellara del Belice" olive variety has been grown here for centuries. An unrepeatable combination of the local soil and microclimate gives origin to DOP certified table olives and extra-virgin olive oil. (Optional Segesta Tour).

Day 5: Palermo City Tour

Half Day WALKING Tour - It's impossible not to visit PALERMO: once a regal capital where peoples very different from one another mingled their cultures creating a particularly original fusion like the Arab-Norman-Byzantine style of its finest buildings. Palermo is a many faceted city, with as much an unmistakable as enigmatic identity, a combination of aristocratic magnificence and the colourful ways of the common people. Visit the highlights of the Arab Norman Period, the Quattro Canti, Piazza Pretoria, the Cathedral plus a typical market. (Optional Tour Monreale or Cefalù). Overnight in Palermo.
